Jeff Held is an assistant dean in the School of Arts & Sciences at Concordia University Irvine, conductor of the Concordia Wind Orchestra, which performed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
Seventy-six years ago American and Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in order to turn the tide of World War 2. The invasion succeeded but it came at a cost. Today we briefly remember those fell on that day and what their sacrifice means for us still to this day.
